James Joseph Blouin-Jackson (AKA Jim Jackson, Rebel Jackson Jr., Tiger) was born January 14th, 1965 in Yakima, WA. He was raised by his mother, Geraldine Golly, and fathers Rebel Jackson Senior and Norman Blouin. He grew up alongside his three older siblings, Terry, Tim, and Tammy Blouin, along with his younger sister, Tara Jackson. His love for racing began at an early age, starting on the flat track racing dirt bikes. He quickly graduated to racing cars, finding himself behind the wheel of a sprint car at the young age of 16. He continued to make waves in the racing community, winning countless races behind the wheel of sprint cars and supermodifieds, taking home three copper world classic supermodified wins, and 5 consecutive major supermodified titles, indicators that Jim "Rebel" Jackson Jr was one of the best open wheel drivers in the region. His racing accolades didn't slow him down from building a family, having his son Joey Jackson, in 1990, followed by his daughter Jessica Jackson, in 1995. He retired from racing in 1999 to focus on his family and his career. Jim retired from Delta Marine as a project manager after 28 years. Jim lived his life to the fullest loving life and making memories, participating in numerous hobbies including fishing, dirt bike riding, jeeping, and spending time traveling with his family and friends. In 2012 he reunited with his wife Christy Jackson after 30 years. Together they lived their best life doing the things they loved most and being together. In 2020 his love for racing was reignited when he discovered the passionate community of the Northwest Focus Midgets. He went on to earn an additional two consecutive championships before his final retirement from racing in 2022. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with those he cared for, and never made a commitment that he couldn't fulfill. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, infectious smile and willingness to help those he cared for. He was one of the greats, both on and off the track, and anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him knows how dearly he'll be missed.
We regret to announce his passing on July 8th, 2023. He is survived by his mother Geraldine and Don McLeod, his siblings Terry, Timothy, Tammy and Tara, his wife Christy, his children Joey and Jessica, stepchildren Cody and Joanie, three grandchildren Parker, Wyatt and Willie, and countless other family members.
