James Larry Blount, Sr., 82, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024.
James is survived by his son, James Larry Blount, Jr. of Lafayette; his two daughters, Cynthia Nolen of Oakdale, and Angela Eichler of Opelousas; seven grandchildren, Jaleigh Blount, Jocelyn Blount, and Jade Blount of Lafayette, James Tyler Mancil of Kinder, Kali Mancil of Oakdale, Justin Molbert of Opelousas, and Jacob Eichler of Opelousas; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Monk and Madeline Mancil; and his ex-wife, Carolyn Perkins Blount.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sue Greer and James Anderson Blount; his sister, Jimmie Sue (Blount) Woodard; and two brothers.
