James Allen Bottorff, age 60, of Henryville, IN, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by loved ones, he entered his eternal home with the Lord, whom he faithfully served throughout his life.
Allen was a loving husband, father, proud grandfather, and faithful brother and friend. He lived a life marked by strength, integrity, and unwavering faith. He found joy in serving his town as the trustee, and his kindness and wisdom touched many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Emma Moore Bottorff, and a sister, Candance Kannapel.
Allen is survived by his wife, Rhonda Bottorff, children, Tanner Bottorff and Drew (Tyler) Holt; grandchildren, Charleigh, Karsyn, and Liam Holt; his sisters, Barbara Jackson and Robin Jones (Brad); brother, Rodney Bottorff; and his brother-in-law, Douglas Kannapel.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 3–8 PM and Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 9–11 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM at First Baptist Church in Henryville, IN.
We are comforted in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of Jesus, having "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
