James Branan Obituary

Jim was a long-time diesel mechanic. Prior to retirement, he was a transit operator and a mechanic for Hutchinson Community College. He was able to repair anything on vehicles with his natural talent. Jim was an animal lover especially his two feline friends. He was very family-oriented and devoted much of his time to his mother's care before her death. Jim was also a tremendous brother to both his siblings.
Jim is survived by: sister, Laurie Branan of Independence, MO; nephew, Dexter (Olive) Branan, and great-nephew, David Branan of Colorado Springs, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Thomas C. Branan.
Private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Redemption Animal Rescue, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main Hutchinson, KS 67501.
