James A. Brodnick, 87, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Regent St. in Houston, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, in the Trustbridge Hospice Center. He was born July 15, 1937, in Houston, a son of the late Michael and Helen Dobrowalski Brodnick. Mr. Brodnick was a 1955 graduate of Chartiers High School and was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish in Meadow Lands. He had worked 31 years for Cooper Power Systems and Pennsylvania Transformer Technologies, retiring in 2007. On May 21, 1960, he married Ursula J. Bellotti who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James A. Brodnick Jr. and his wife Susan of DeSoto, TX and Mark Brodnick and his wife Lisa of Lake Clarke Shores, FL; four grandchildren, Samantha Wiseman (Jake), Jacob A. Brodnick (Macy) and Anna and Abbey Brodnick; a great grandson, Owen James Brodnick; a brother, David Brodnick of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers, Robert and John Brodnick; and four sisters, Mildred Cole, Martha Brodnick, Dolores Luciolla and Dorothy Browoski. Friends will be received from 4 to 7, Friday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 300 Pike St., Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
