Mr. James Noel Brown, 85, of Americus, passed away at his residence on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Brown was born September 11, 1940, in Vilonia, AR to James Clay and Lois Eva Stripling Brown. He retired as a fitter for International Ship after working for many years. Mr. Brown was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays fan. He always wanted everyone to be the best they could be and put lots of thought into everything he did. Mr. Brown lived his life by the Perfect Law. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, loved his music and most importantly, the Lord. He will truly be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Diana Connell and Kathy Brown, two grandchildren, Michael Connell and Jeremiah Willis and a great-granddaughter, Alana Knowles.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 67 years, Joane Brown of Americus; a son, Noel Richard Brown and his wife, Teresa of Wesley Chapel, FL; two daughters, Laurie Leighly and Karen Cominski, both of Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren, Tony Harris, Christina Harris, Timothy Connell, Samantha Willis Baxter, Tyler Grace Willis, Michael Brown, Amber Rutkin, Jenna Lee Bunkley, Hunter Bunkley, Billy Cominski and Anna Cominski; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Brown of Dover, FL and Donnie Brown and his wife, Linda of Americus; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
