OBITUARY
James was born on October 6, 1961 in Council Bluffs, the son of Roger and Leah (Moore) Butcher. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1980. James was employed as a truck driver.
James and Diane Marie Brown were together for 30 years before they were married on April 28, 2023 in Mills County. They lived in the Malvern area for 15 years before making their home in Shenandoah.
James enjoyed fishing, watching TV, and muscle cars. He loved his dogs, but most of all, being with the love of his life, his wife Diane.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Roger Butcher; brother Jack Butcher; and sister-in-law Kristi Butcher.
James is survived by his wife Diane of Shenandoah; mother Leah Butcher of Council Bluffs; brother John Butcher of Winston-Salem, NC; sister-in-law H.Kay Butcher of Illinois; nephew Jon-Erik (Emily) Butcher and their children, Wesley and Rylie; and many special friends.
