Mr. James Calvin “Jamie” Rivers, age 60, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 1, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 6, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Rivers was born December 14, 1963 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Calvin Walker and Irma Dutton Rivers. He spent most of his career working as an LPN where he saved and cared for countless lives. After retiring from nursing, he became a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors, and animals. He especially loved his pets, Gertrude and Snitzel and his grand-cat, Meina.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rivers was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Rivers.
Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Deese of Jefferson, SC; nephew, Josh (Danielle) Desse of Lexington, SC; niece, Mallory Deese of Jefferson, SC; great-nieces, Reneesmee Deese, Isadora Deese; special friend, Patrice Stubbs of Raeford, NC and her daughter, April Stubbs; step-children, Jessica Hayes of Hope Mills, NC, Justin Lewis of Rockingham, NC; and grandchild, Olivia Ford of Hope Mills, NC.
Memorials may be made to White Plains Baptist Church, PO Box 219 Jefferson, SC 29718.
