James Edward "Jim" Casseday age 79 of Jasper, TN passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by family. Funeral services are Wednesday, March 26 at 6 PM ET at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Kenimer Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 PM ET until time of the service.
Jim was born June 25, 1945 in Morgantown, West Virginia to parents, Roy Dale and Josephine Molisse Casseday. Upon completing trade school he went to work at Combustion Engineering for years as a Boilermaker. Later in life he went back to school to learn the Electrian trade and served as a Tennessee State Boiler Inspector. He was a member of IBEW Local 175. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and watching Alabama Crimson Tide Football.
Mr. Casseday is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diane Richey Casseday, children, Becky (Johnny) Bowen, Jamie (Pam) Casseday, Angie (Jeremy) Holloway, grandchildren, Serria (Kyle) Adkins, Ashly Casseday, Alston (Devan) Casseday, Cade Holloway, Tristan (McKay) Bowen, Aubrey Holloway, Charlee Casseday, great-grandchildren, Nora Roe Casseday, Lainey James Casseday, Kyllie Adkins, Tyde Adkins, River Adkins, brothers, Phil Casseday, Bob Casseday, Richard (Carolyn) Casseday and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior Casseday, Lynn Casseday, Fred Casseday, sisters, Arlene Molisse, Eva Shaffer and Doylene Davis. Serving as pallbearers will be; Jamie Casseday, Jeremy Holloway, Johnny Bowen, Alston Casseday, Tristan Bowen and Cade Holloway.
