James "Jimm" Vern Cios, Jr, age 49, of Stover, MO, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his home.
He was born August 9, 1972, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to James Vern Cios, Sr. and Connie Taylor Singletary Smith.
Jimm grew up in Florida and moved to central Missouri in 2020 to be near several members of his family.
He loved being outdoors, especially if he could go fishing and hunting. However, being with his family was the thing he enjoyed most of all. Jimm worked construction for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Smith of Stover; father, James Vern Cios, Sr of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Almeda Taylor Singletary of Stover; brother, Andrew Cios and wife Danielle of South Carolina; half-brother, Jeremy Smith of Stover; half-sister, Marlana Smith of Sedalia; eight nieces and nephews, Rocco, Anna, Aiden, Austin, Tye, Avianna, Daegan, and Carter; along with other relatives and friends.
Jimm was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Ballard; two half-brothers, Jason Ballard Smith and Jarrett Wayne Smith; and his half-sister, Devan Noel Smith.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover, MO.
