James was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Detherage and sister, Grace Price.
He is survived by his children, Kimberly Detherage, James Detherage (Ginger), Kevin Detherage, Sherry Young (Greg) and Michele Detherage; 7 grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation: 5pm-8pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at A. D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St., Funeral: 11am Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Harrods Creek Baptist Church. 7610 Upper River Road. Burial: 12pm Monday, April 8, 2024 in Detherage Family Cemetery, Simpson Co., KY.

James(Jim) and I became very good friends when we both worked for Eastman Kodak in Rochester,Ny.
I just founded out that Jim had past today as I was leaving the supermarket by someone that recognized me from many ago.
I send my belated deepest sympathy and condolences to the Detherage Family.
