Michael C. Leasor, aged 76, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday September 12, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose life was characterized by his unwavering love for his family. Michael enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, activities that brought him joy and fulfillment. His deep faith in the Lord fulfilled him throughout his life, and he was a cherished member of the New Cut Road Baptist Church community. Michael's family was his greatest treasure, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on November 6, 1948, in Highland Park, Kentucky, Michael was the son of Clyde and Mildred (Priddy) Leasor. He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde L. Leasor; mother, Mildred K. Leasor; brother, Steven Leasor; sisters, Jackie Shepherd and Jo Etta Leasor; and his beloved cousin, Jean Shines.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon Leasor; his daughters, Kimberly (Troy) Woodson and Terri (Tony) Leasor-Knight; his granddaughters, Eriqa (Brad) Reigle and Hannah Woodson; and his great-grandson, Branson Michael Reigle. Michael also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
