James B. DoVidio, 88, of Forest City, North Carolina, died Monday, April 21, 2025, at his residence in North Carolina. Mr. DoVidio was born in New Castle on September 5, 1936, the son of the late Francesco and Bettina (Mancini) DoVidio. James met Patricia (Watts) DoVidio in 1972, got married soon after, and have been together for 53 years. She survives at home. Mr. DoVidio worked on courier for sea vessels in Houston, TX for a number of years. He was a barber and was the owner and operator of a barber shop in Mahoningtown for many years. He enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, DeCinda Taylor and her husband Keith of Las Vegas, NV and Janice LeFebvre of New Castle, one daughter in law, Jacqueline DoVidio, one step-daughter, Misty Carrion and her husband Ed of Texas, one brother, Ralph DoVidio of New Castle, one sister, Dolly Villani of New Castle, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son Frank DoVidio, one son in law, Doug Lefebvre, two stepdaughters, Ki Autumn Watts and Wendy Summer Watts, five brothers, Anthony DoVidio, Charles DoVidio, Luigi DoVidio, Pasquale DoVidio, and Antonio DoVidio, and four sisters, Teressa Ross, Angeline Rubbo, Tina Etherton, and Teresina DoVidio.

Services will be held at Crowe’s Mortuary and Crematory in Forest City, North Carolina. Burial will be held in Watt’s Cemetery in Bee Log, North Carolina. Local arrangements are entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
