George D. Dovidio age 84 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Canton to the late Chester and Susie V. (Malatesta) Dovidio, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Linda K Dovidio, and brother Nick Dovidio. George was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and was an avid Bulldog supporter. He loved sports and was an avid boccie player, golfer, boater and supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes, but George was his grandson Georgio's biggest supporter. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He retired from Danner Press as a press room supervisor with over 40 years of service. George is survived by his son Christopher Dovidio, grandson Gerogio Dovidio, sister Helen (Dovidio) Marmon, brother Chester Dovidio, Jr., sister-in-law Judy Dovidio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 12 noon. Entombment will be in Northlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral and medical expenses.

George was my supervisor whenever I worked a day shift or half of it at Danner Press. Nice and funny guy. I knew his son from high school.

George was a wonderful neighbor. We were blessed to move in 2 houses down from him about 7 years ago. He was kind and generous. Always stopped to say hi and check in on us. We will miss his warm smile and honk as he drove by. Love and prayers, The Arway Family
