Homegoing Services for Mr. James Dozier were held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Ridge Branch Baptist Church, 601 Church Road, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, where Reverend Willian N. Yarber officiated. Interment was in the Ridge Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. James Dozier, 63, son of the late Frank Brazie Dozier and the late Rose Mae Dozier, was born in Newberry County, South Carolina on October 24, 1961. After a lengthy illness, he was granted his wings and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025.
James was educated in the publivc schools of Lexington County District 3, graduating from Batesburg-Leesville High School in the Class of 1981. He was employed by Amick's Farm until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and two brothers-in-law, Lanies Gray Jr. and Johnny Tolen.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his wife, Bridget Dozier; a son, James Frank Blair, Jr.; a stepdaughter, Jelisse Blair, two stepsons, David Blair and Carduris Blair; six brothers, Glenn (Mary Ann) Dozier, Ricky (Tameka) Dozier, Steven (Lynn) Dozier, Larry (Diane) Dozier, Frank Dozier and Willie Lee Dozier; three sisters, Mary Whitt, Linda Gray, and Janice (Aarol) Wedderburn; one brother-in-law, James Blair; three sisters-in-law, Latesha Blair, Tawanda Blair and Dorothy Blair; a devoted friend and caregiver, Janet Wigfall; nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
