Publish in a newspaper

James E. Driscoll of Pembroke, passed away suddenly after a short illness on October 4, 2025 at the age of 82.

Having grown up in North Weymouth, James was a devoted husband to Kathleen (O'Grady) Hackett for over 20 years and a loving father to his 4 sons; James Driscoll and his wife Lisa of Plymouth, Kevin Driscoll and his wife Korinna of Medfield, Keith Driscoll and his wife Keri of Pembroke, and Kasey Driscoll and his wife Heidi of Raynham. He was also a proud stepfather to Chris Hackett and his wife Rebecca of Pembroke, Keri-Anne Berry and her husband Robert of Bridgewater, and Stephen Hackett and his wife Stacey of Plymouth.

James was honored to be a grandfather to 19 grandchildren; Hayley, Ava, Nolan, Brendan, Brett, Jack, Michael, Kate, Luke, Lilly, Liam, Morgan, Parker, Nathan, Garrett, Shane, Macklin, Charlotte and Bobby, and a dear brother to Elizabeth Peters of Florida. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and his lifelong friend Jimmy Walsh of Bridgewater. James was predeceased by his siblings, Patricia, Fred, George and Dave.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and later enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with IBEW Local 103, from which he retired.

James was outgoing, social and always had a story for anyone willing to listen. His sense of humor was ever present, which he maintained right until the end. He had a passion for NASCAR racing, motorcycles, golf, and was an avid hockey player during his high school years. In his later years he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's various games and events and bragging about them to his many friends. James also enjoyed cooking and made a truly fantastic baked macaroni and cheese. If you had it, you know what we're talking about.

A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, October 10th at 3:00 PM, followed by visitation hours until 7:00 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. (Route 53), Hanover.

A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
