Jim was born to Horace Draper and Bertha Mae (Blount) Driskill on March 7, 1936, in San Antonio, TX. He married the love of his life, Helen (Galloway) Driskill on June 17, 1958 – they were married for 64 years. He proudly served our Country in the United States Coast Guard from 1957 until 1961, and then went to work for the US Federal Civil Service, until he retired. Together, they raised four children.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife Helen, their daughter Connie Mae Padgett and husband Tony of Boerne, TX; sons Jim Driskill and wife Hope of George West, TX, Steve Driskill and wife Jimi of Boerne, TX, Mike Driskill and wife Shauna of New Braunfels, TX; and his sister, Sandra Driskill Torans of La Vernia, TX. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and many other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
The family will have a Graveside Service on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sabinal Cemetery in Sabinal, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hill Country Mission for Health in Boerne, TX through their website at www.missionforhealth.org. Hill Country Mission for Health is a non-profit charitable healthcare clinic providing primary healthcare to the impoverished.
Services are entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers, TX.
