James C. Edington

James C. Edington, age 89, of Marion passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the home of his son. He was born in Marion, Ohio on June 11, 1932 to the late John J. and Ida Marie (Smith) Edington. James was a 1952 graduate of Marion Harding High School. On February 11, 1951 he married the former Wanda Jean Orr and she preceded him in death on October 19, 1982.
Jim is survived by a son, Jack E. (Mary) Edington of Marion, OH., 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Jeremy Abrams) Edington, Marah (Zach) Boyd, & Lorissa (Joey Thorinhill) Edington, 7 great grandchildren, Skyler, Kamri, Izik, Korbin, Zaydyn, Macdyn, & Penelope, and 2 great great grandchildren, Yale'nah & La'eia. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda, a son, Craig Edington, a daughter, Debra J. Edington, 2 brothers, John & Gene Edington and 3 sisters, Joan Edington, Kathleen Jones, & Mary Edington.
Jim was employed as a supervisor with the City of Marion for 9 years and went on to work at the Marion Power Shovel Company until his retirement.
Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. A graveside service will be held in the Marion Cemetery at 12:00 Noon on Monday. Donations in Jim's name may be made to The Wounded Warriors Foundation.
