James Farney Obituary
Okeechobee – James Anslem Farney, Jr. died December 21, 2023. He was born July 22, 1938 in East Keansburg, New Jersey to James Anslem Farney, Sr. and Mary Teresa (Malone) Farney. A resident of Okeechobee for 11 years, he was a member of the American Legion Post 310 in Hallandale, Florida and served as Commander for 12 years. He was also a member of VFW Post 10539 in Okeechobee, Florida. He served in the United States Army station in Germany as a bomb technician. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and remodeling construction.
Mr. Farney was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Judith Farney; sons, James Farney, III (Elaine), David Farney (Patricia), and Charles Farney (Debra); daughters, Mary Louise Rios (Moisen), Vivian Seward (William), and Pamela Bolcar (Paul); 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Farney (Cheryl); and sister, Maryjane Haggerty (Gerald).
