CELEBRATION OF LIFE
Friday, May,16th, 2025
10:00 Visitation
11:00 Service, Ridin High Cowboy Church, 8771 FM 35, Royce City, TX (Union Valley)
James Brent Farr was born November 8, 1957 to Steve and Berta Farr in Dallas Texas.
"As difficult as this has been, James said, I wouldn't have changed this journey for anything. I have seen it bring out the absolute best in people and strengthen their faith."
What better way to honor James Farr, than to have a few of the multitude of his friends share some personal experiences and takes on the man.

Can't say enough about what this man has meant to me over the years! Serving alongside James at Hidden Acres Camp has been one of the joys of my life. He made such a huge impact in the lives of everyone he knew. Everywhere I look on this property, I see his fingerprints; I mean everything from the mower he donated that I was sitting on yesterday, to the bridges he built in honor of others, to the trailers he made to haul children around camp. Our board meetings will miss his leadership, his laugh and his friendship. He was one of a kind and as genuine as they come.

We all have a list we can make of people that made a difference in our lives. The older we get, hopefully the longer the list. James Farr not only made my list 60 years ago, he's at the top. The kindest, most God-fearing man you'll ever meet. Not to mention a cowboy that was a true man's man. I love ya brother! You made a difference in many lives.
HEATH BRILEY
The kindest God fearing man. James and Debby took our family in as their own. I've learned so much from him about the CTLR cattle and he has our family hooked. In our many conversations, we not only talked about longhorns, but about God and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
ELISE BRAN
"Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."
James, as a friend and mentor, offered guidance and faith for the future.
HAL MESSAMORE rarely walked away from any time spent with James that he didn't say – "that guy always makes me want to be a better man."
A true, gentle giant of man, whose kindness and generosity defined who he was to everyone from small children, to each and every person he met. To honor this man, please consider to live your life like James Farr. Please take a moment to reflect on a personal note, a simple act of kindness that you witnessed or were the recipient of. To live like James Farr is to:
Be kind, fair and honest. It's either right or wrong, and nothing in between. No fence riding. Be generous. Give until you have nothing left, then give some more, and expect nothing in return. Follow Jesus.
"WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!"
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation of any size to Hidden Acres Camp. ([email protected])
James was preceded by his parents, Steve and Berta Farr. He is survived by his wife Debby and daughter by marriage, Kimberley Pollard and grandchildren: Amber Bishop (Lee) and Craig Washer. Sisters: Ruth Ashlock (Steve), Brenda Westbrook (Mark) and Joy Farr. As well as a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Psalms 34:19
I see every hardship you face- every tear, every burden. Yes, even the righteous will walk through trials, but do not lose heart. I the Lord your God, am with you in every struggle. I will not leave you in your trouble. I will lift you up, I will carry you through, and I will deliver you from them all. Trust in Me. I am your refuge, your strength, your rescuer. Amen.

James is the best and was such a good soul, a good man, and a good friend. Always good to talk to in person or on the phone and dedicated to serving all those around him. We feel privileged to call Debby and James friends. We are praying for support and comfort so Debby can feel the love of Jesus Christ at this hard time. We'll miss James and we love you Debby."
