James Dean Sapp was born on January 4, 1962, in McKinney, TX, to Shirley McBride Barker and James Porter Sapp. He was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and a graduate of Wills Point High School. James began his career with Amana Refrigeration, working in the credit and collections department. He later transitioned to commercial hauling, where he worked until his retirement a few years ago.

James had a passion for working in his yard, loved cooking on the grill, and often shared food with his neighbors. An animal lover, he was known for feeding both neighborhood pets and stray animals that wandered to his home. He was also a dedicated member of the Friday Night Quad Bowling Group, "9 Plus a Wiggle," and proudly achieved a near-perfect game with a score of 299.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Porter Sapp, and his grandparents, Tom and Fern Sapp, and Johnny Sr. and Betty McBride.

James is survived by his parents, Danny and Shirley Barker of Wills Point, along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
