James Henry Fields was born in Galveston, Texas November 10, 1963, to the union of Charles R. Fields Sr. and Shirley Chatmon Fields. He was baptized at an early age at First Union Baptist Church in Galveston, Texas. James is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Chatmon Fields and sister, Cheryl Denise Fields. God took him to His loving home on September 17, 2023.
James was a loving, generous, proud and dedicated man with many hidden talents. He was devoted to every job that he encountered such as being an apprentice mortician to our beloved mother.
James never married, traveled and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and faithful family. His father, Charles (Linda) Fields Sr., his brother, Charles and Eleanor Fields Jr., and sister, Mira Stevenson; Nieces, Nekilia Stevenson-Bell (Ray), Reqashi Fields and Crystal Fields; Nephews, Brandon Stevenson, Jarad Lott and Shai Fields. Great nieces, Myra, Chanel and Christanna; Great nephews, Brandon, Michael and Kyrin. Special loved ones, Kendrick, Jeanette, Joshua McKinney family, including a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and a caring, devoted and loyal acquaintance.
