Jason Dwayne Spencer was born in Galveston, Texas on December 21, 1953, to the late Lillie Mae Johnson and Joseph Thomas Spencer. Jason attended Galveston public schools graduating with Ball High School class of 1973. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served his country from 1973 until his honorable discharge in 1983.
Jason would then begin his career as a security officer until his retirement in 2016. He was an avid reader, and he loved mystery novels as well as sci-fi.
Jason loved to watch Animal Planet and cheer for the Raiders football. You would catch him with a big smile on his face as he enjoyed his favorite restaurants Golden Corral, Denny's and Olive Garden. He was preceded in death by his parents.
On June 29, 2025, Jason received his reward of eternal life at his home in Houston, Texas.
Jason leaves to cherish memories of his life, son, Kevin Biggers; daughters, Kiara Spencer, LaToya Biggers, Jasminn Diggs, Josephine Marshall; grandchildren, Keyavieah Lewis, Javieah Lewis, Ke'zalyn Baines, Dominique Marshall, Joaquínn Walker, Dasia (Marshall) Willis; great grandchild, Kayorie Thompson, Jersey Walker, Osiris Campbell, Mahalia Willis; special friends, James, and Patricia Linzer, extended family and friends.
