James B. "Ben" Fitzpatrick, III, of Naples, died December 20, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky (BA), and the University of Florida (MA). Ben served his country in the U.S. Adjutant Generals Corps for two years, and the U.S. Army Reserve for 3 years. His life-long career in marketing included Director of Public Relations for Alcoa (Pittsburgh PA, New York, NY, and Newburgh IN), Group Vice President, Keller Crescent Co. (Evansville, IN), Realtor, F.C. Tucker (Evansville, IN), and Sr. Vice-President, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce (Naples, FL). In Evansville, he was a member of Evansville Country Club and served on the Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville, IN. Ben is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kay Kennedy Fitzpatrick; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sara Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kristin Kennedy and Joseph Hoekman; daughter, Karyn Franks; son, Jim Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Brenna, Riley, Reagan, and Braden; 4 nieces and a nephew; 12 grand nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a memorial gathering, April 21, 2012, at Evansville Country Club in Evansville, IN from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Donations in Bens memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County, PO Box 8896, Naples, FL 34101, or the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville, IN, PO Box 6311, Evansville, IN 47719.
