James Keith Francois, 64, of Conroe, TX, passed peacefully on December 3, 2024 in Kingwood, TX surrounded by his brothers Wayne and Ronald Francois.
Keith was born on July 5, 1960 in Lake Charles, LA to Larry and Nell Francois becoming the baby of the family.
Carpenter by trade, Keith took pride in his ability to build almost anything out of wood from a simple wall shelf to an entire house. Even today homes stretching from Conroe, TX to Galveston, TX still stand as a testament to his skills.
In 1984, Keith met and married the love of his life Karen. Keith and Karen created a blended family, Keith having one daughter Stacy and Karen having two daughters Jennifer and Mandy. Keith took pride in his role as father never using the term "step" for in his eyes Jennifer and Mandy were his children.
In 2010, Keith was blessed with his son Matthew and despite the challenges of his age Keith would still play ball with his son.
For Keith family was the most important thing for him. He had a fierce love for his family, there was nothing he wouldn't do to support and protect them.
Keith's spare time was spent outdoors, either fishing, having family cookouts, playing sports or cheering on the Houston Texans.
Keith was preceded in death by grandson Jordan Francois, Mother Nell Francois, and Father Larry Francois.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Karen Francois, son Matthew Francois, daughters Mandy Roberts, Jennifer Ramirez, and Stacy Francois. Grandchildren Joshua Colunga, Christian Ramirez, Alexis Cruz, and Stormy Ramirez. Siblings Wayne Francois, wife Rachel; Sandra Lindsey, husband Rick; and Ronald Francois, wife Mena. Long time best friend Lee "Urkey" Stroupe. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Keith was preceded in death by grandson Jordan Francois, Mother Nell Francois, and Father Larry Francois.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ray Hyden officiating.
