James Franklin Goad Sr.
James Franklin Goad Sr., 69, of Grover, NC, passed away on August 01, 2022 at Testa Hospice house in Kings Mountain, NC. He was born in Sullivan County, TN, son of the late Joseph RB Goad. James was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Hammonds Boatright, a son, James Franklin Goad Jr., and his brother, Joe Willard "JW" Goad. James worked in management in the food service industry and in the auto body repair industry for many years. He served his country honorably as a US Marine. James enjoyed traveling and he and Connie loved visiting Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Charleston. Always outgoing, James never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a dedicated provider to his family and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. The lessons James taught his family, and the love he showered on them will never be forgotten by all those who loved him.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 50 years: Connie Archer Goad, of the home
Children: Jody Allen Goad (Shannon), Mount Holly, NC, and Julie "Sissy" Goad Gunter (Kevin), Grover, NC
Grandchildren: Chrissy Goad Gregory (Justin), Trae Goad (Emily), Wyatt Goad, Emme Goad, Brandon Goad (Melissa), Tyler Goad (Rebecca), Zachary Goad (Kari), Bryce Goad, Austin Gunter (Claudia), and Dalton Gunter
Great Grandchildren: Paislee Goad, Braylen Goad, Connor Moster, and Riley Goad
Sisters: Frances Goad Waycaster, Kingsport, TN, and Kathy Goad Lemaster, Chattanooga, TN
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Grover City Cemetery
