The Life of A Don..
Today we celebrate the life of a man, an entrepreneur, a father, a brother, a friend and a Don, James Guillory born June 23,1981 to Jeanette Ware and James "Cotton" Wooten and lovingly raised by his grandparents Althea and Walter Guillory.
James attended DC public schools, Wilde Lake High School in Columbia MD and the University of the District of Columbia. James was employed with the Department of Defense for years and many restaurants, grocery stores and theaters, it was always his norm to have two jobs, he believed in hard work. James had a dream of being a rapper and he followed his dream and became a well known rapper, writer and a producer. James was determined to put his label DRAMACIDE RIDAZ on the map and he let nothing stand in the way of his pursuit of fame. James decided later in life that he was only interested in the production part of the business and he continued to make music and promote and develop artists even through his trials.
On Sunday January 26, 2025 at 10:08 am at Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville, MD, James whispered to GOD that he was tired and GOD had told him he could come home and rest, so James transition from this life into a life where there is no more pain.
James leaves to honor and cherish his memory his five children whom he loved dearly James, Jamira, and Jamise Guillory and Saniya and Jamiya Roberts, four Grandchildren, Jordan, Jade, Moziah and Blessing, one sister Jianiece and five brothers, Donald, Edwin, Freddy, Gregory and Walter, with a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
James was a kindred spirit, he loved GOD first and he loved his family and friends, everyone that he encountered became family to him in his heart. He loved children and in his eyes their guidance and protection was his responsibility. He taught them to swim, rap, write, computer skills, and instilled work ethics in them. He was Uncle Smokie to so many, he let them know that he loved them and the feeling was definitely mutual.
James never made any enemies, held grudges or passed judgement, he accepted people for who they were and loved them flaws and all. His heart was pure and his smile was infectious, he enjoyed food, and it was surely the way to his heart.
James was a people person, he was shy yet outgoing, the world was his stage, he played many roles and he will be missed greatly but loved and remembered Always
