James Joseph Henaghan Jr.

James Joseph Henaghan, Jr., age 92, of Lynnfield, passed away at Salem Hospital on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was the husband of the late Mary V. (Casey) Henaghan. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late James J. and Katherine Mary (Hand) Henaghan. He was educated in Medford and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Northeastern University.
James served in the United States Army during the Korean War, from 1955-1957. He had worked as a purchasing manager for 3M for many years until his retirement. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield, and was a member of the Elks Club. He was also an avid golfer. He will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather.
He was the father of James Joseph Henaghan, III and his partner Anne Mortillaro of Gloucester, John Christopher Henaghan and his wife Megan (Day) of Stoneham, Kathleen Henaghan of Concord, NH, Colleen (Henaghan) Thistle and her husband Greg of Londonderry, NH, and the late Andrew Casey Henaghan, Maryellen (Henaghan) Gilbert, Kevin Jude Henaghan and Gerard Henaghan; the grandfather of Sarah Vinnenberg and her husband Andrew, Henry Gilbert and his wife Katie, Kelley Puksta and her husband William, AJ Thistle, Caitlin Henaghan, Jack Henaghan, Michael Thistle, Kerry Henaghan, Michaela Henaghan and Abell Thistle; and the great-grandfather of Jameson Puksta and Dean Vinnenberg. He was predeceased by his brother Patrick and his sisters Eileen and Anne.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
