James “Rodney” Huffstickler, 76, of Stanley NC passed away January 21, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Huffstickler was born in Cleveland County, NC on March 30, 1947 to the late James Carl Huffstickler and Essie Mae Carswell Huffstickler. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Carl and Gene Huffstickler and a sister Brenda Williams. Rodney was a member of Community Pentecostal Center Church in Stanley where he was a past deacon. Rodney loved to fish and was a self employed drywall contractor. Most importantly, Rodney was a gentle, kind-hearted man who loved and cherished his family.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Frances Huffsttickler. Daughter, Debra Owens (John) and son Brian Huffstickler (Katherine). Four grandchildren; Landon Jones, Christian Duran, Anna and Andrew Huffstickler and also three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 25th at 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with the Rev. Eddie McGinnis officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Community Pentecostal Center Church, 320 Ralph Handsel Blvd., Stanley, NC 28164.
