James F. Insinga

James F. (Jim) Insinga, age 90,passed away in Washington, D.C. on July 18, 2023.He was born in Newton, N.J. to Vincent Insinga and Mildred (Brady) Insinga.
He graduated from Newark High School in 1952 and then served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea and Pakistan.In 1954 he married his wife, Esther Klair Insinga.She preceded him in death in 2022.
In his youth, Jim was a member of the Future Farmers of America and the 4-H club and Links organizations. As an adult, he mentored young people as a leader of 4-H clubs, the National Association of Rocketry, and the Indian Guides.
Jim was a life-long farmer and managed Carousel Farm in Mill Creek and Webb Farm at the University of Delaware, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his sons Aron (Merle) of Nashua, NH and David (Robert McDonald) of Washington, DC, granddaughter Rachel (Fred McCullough) of Somerville, MA and grandson Jonas of Miami, FL.
A memorial service will be held at St. James' Mill Creek Episcopal Church, 2106 St.James Church Road, Wilmington, DE19808 on Friday, August 4 at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.
