Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois to the late John and Catherine Jacob, James is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jacob, his daughter Heather Jacob, and his sister Cathleen Jacob. James is survived by his daughters Kristin (Gino) Martino and Jennifer (Matt) Benes; "Mij" to Alexandria, Kelsey and Caitlyn Martino and "Papa" to Kiley and Ashlyn Benes; "GP" to Sofia James and Harley Scofield; brother of Fr. Anthony O.S.B. and George Jacob; as well as uncle of several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, IL 60564. Private Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
