James Warren Jacobs

James Warren Jacobs ("Jake") passed early Tuesday morning at the age of 86, on January 6th, 2026. He was a wonderful, giving, sweet-hearted person who enjoyed life. He was always up for a good laugh with friends and family. He will be sorely missed.
Born in Arlington, Virginia, the second son of three sons and a daughter of George and Mary Jacobs. Jake was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary, his son James Jacobs Jr. (Cyndi), his daughter Susan McKinley (Mike), grandchildren Rachel Lane(Bronson), Sarah Jacobs, Kaden McKinley and Donnie McKinley.
He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1961, with a degree in Industrial Management. Later that same year, he married Mary Hogg of Decatur. Next, he served in the Navy as a navigator on Super Connies and C-130's and had a long career with Lockheed until his retirement.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He will be buried alongside his parents at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Grayson, Georgia.
