James “Jimmy” Edward Christian, age 81 of McEwen, TN, passed away November 5, 2023 at AHC Waverly. Jimmy was born in McEwen, TN on July 24, 1942 to the late Earl Edward Christian and Rose Ellen Kiley Christian. He enjoyed gardening, hunting squirrel, fishing and reading. He also enjoyed working on old engines. He was a life-long member of St. Patrick Church in McEwen, TN.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers; John Christian (Myrtle), McEwen, TN, and Gerald Christian, McEwen, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rose Ellen Christian; siblings; Nell Carolyn Betty, Mary Francis Wanamaker, and Thomas “Tommy” Christian.
Rosary for James Christian will be Thursday, November 9, 2023, beginning at 11 AM until the Funeral Mass at 12 PM, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. Father Zack Kirangu will officiate the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers; John Christian (Myrtle), McEwen, TN, and Gerald Christian, McEwen, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to Luff-Bowen Funeral Home.
