James Karamanos

James Karamanos Mr. James Karamanos passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mr. Karamanos was born in New Brunswick and lived in Highland Park for most of his life. He graduated from Edison High school and continued his education, eventually earning a Master's Degree in Divinity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts. He worked for many years as a substitute teacher in Edison, Highland Park and Metuchen and worked for Johnson and Johnson. Mr. Karamanos was a lifelong member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway where he was a former member of the church Board of Trustees and served on the Festival Committee. He was a lifelong member of the Order Of AHEPA, Monroe Chapter 75 and served as a delegate to the annual conventions. He also served on the Middlesex County transportation Board. He was pre deceased by his parents William and Helen Karamanos and his brother Sotires Karamanos. Mr. Karamanos is survived by his cousins and extended family members. Visiting will take place on Tuesday June 18, 2024 from 9:30 AM -11 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. The funeral service will follow and begin at 11 AM. Graveside services will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
