James Frank Kramer

James Frank Kramer affectionately known as Jim, 79, of Alexandria, KY. passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Highlandspring of Fort Thomas, KY. He was born January 15, 1946, in Covington, KY. Jim devoted his life to the care and stewardship of animals. An avid horseman and cattleman, he was deeply committed to animal husbandry and took great pride in the land and livestock entrusted to him. His knowledge, work ethic, and quiet dedication were evident to all who knew him, and he found his greatest satisfaction in a life lived close to the animals he loved. He earned the highest rank attainable, "Eagle Scout" in Boy Scouts of America in 1958. Jim served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Joo Kramer; his parents, Frank and Lily (nee Williams) Kramer. James is survived by his son, Ross James Kramer (Melinda); daughter, Penny Lynn Torres (Joe); granddaughter, Taylor Marovich; grandson, Hunter Torres, who will remember him for his steadfast character, practical wisdom, and enduring love.
