On Friday, February 14, 2025 James Allen Krout, age 70, of Warrington, PA, passed away peacefully at home alongside his beloved wife of almost 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Alice Krout, and his sister Nina Young.
James, or as his family knew him, "Big Jim" or just Jim, was born on June 2, 1954 in Doylestown Hospital. Jim was an avid nature lover and enjoyed watching the deer and foxes outside his home by the pond. Jim's love for the outdoors was a perfect match for his over 30-year career operating heavy construction equipment for J.L. Watts Excavating. Jim could be found talking with his family about anything construction related and always enjoyed a good car ride checking out new construction sites across the area. Jim's passion for animals led him to develop a remarkable talent for catching feral cats, which he and his wife loved to save.
Jim leaves behind his beloved wife Lisa Nelson, his three children: Carrie Cameron (Kevin), Emma Kalbach (Steve), James Krout Jr. (Kristin), and his stepdaughter Leigh Ferello (Tony). Jim is also survived by his brother Richard Krout and his two sisters Nancy Esposito and Becky Krout.
Additionally, Jim is remembered by his grandchildren: Colleen, Kevin, Colin, Kyle, Matthew, James, Julia, Daniel, Sadie, Anthony, Teigan and Brennan.
Jim's family would like to invite you to his funeral service being held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 am, with a service to begin at 11:00 am.
