James "Jim" Clifford Kuhn
1969 - 2025
Jim Kuhn, 56, of Sunbury, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 due to complications from pneumonia. He was the beloved son of Jack and Lois Kuhn.
God broke the mold when he made Jim. He was the best of us.
Jim was an effortless husband, father, uncle and friend whose generosity, quick-wit, and infectious spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. He lived life with passion and purpose - always ready with a helping hand, a tool and a story to share. He truly defined friendship.
A life-long Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan, Jim lived a full life with his beloved wife, Anna, and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. Jim was the proud father of Alex and Jack, who brought him endless joy and pride – they were his everything.
Jim was the guy you always wanted to walk through the door next – armed with a quick wave, gap-toothed smile and sharp joke. He was a faithful Catholic man, who cherished going to church with his family. He adored Anna's Greek culture, his mother-in-law's cooking, bountiful family potlucks and new traditions.
Jim revered his siblings and their families. He is survived by his loving brothers and sister: Jack (Jacque); Carolyn (Willie); Mark (Charleen); Joe (Dellann); Matt (Ilene); Andy (Mary). He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, step-siblings, great nephews and great cousins who shared in his one-of-a-kind spirit.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 North State Route 61,
Sunbury, Ohio 43074. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jim's life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N State St, Westerville, OH 43082. Fr. Kevin Girardi celebrating. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville, Ohio.
We remember Jim for: 5:00 a.m. workouts; tailgating; two-handed net play; color-blind bocce, bear hugs, endless devotion and the way he made everyone feel like family. He was a selfless, unrelenting unifier. He was our favorite. His love continues to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
"If you want to catch a squirrel, climb the tree and act like a nut."
Jim was the rising tide. Rest in peace, brother.
