James William Landy Sr.

James William Landy, Sr., 78 February 19, 2025 James William Landy, Sr. 78 of Williamstown, MA died Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Williamstown Commons. He was born in North Adams, MA on January 11, 1947, a son of Edward Landy and Doris (Wilson) Landy. James attended local schools and was a graduate of Drury High School. He married the late Sandra (Kemp) Landy on April 4, 1970. James was employed on the fiber optics coloring line at General Cable and was a volunteer with the Special Olympics and the Auxiliary Police for the City of North Adams, MA. He fondly remembered his first job picking apples at Mount Hope Farm and his first car, a VW Beetle. James could often be found out and about riding around town on his scooter and visiting many friends, including the guards at Williams College. Survivors include his daughter, Lee Landy of Williamstown and his son, James Landy, Jr. and his wife, Nicole and their son Grant Landy of Williamstown. He also leaves his siblings Edward Landy, Jr. and Shirley Franco. FUNERAL NOTICE: At James' request, there will be no services.
