James Allen LaShomb

James “Jim” LaShomb, of Kingston, NY, passed away in his home on May 29, 2024. He was born on June 2nd, 1961, in Beacon, NY, to Eileen and Alvin LaShomb and was the youngest of 6 children. Jim attended Ketcham High School before the United States Marine Corps, eventually being appointed Private First Class. 

James is predeceased in death by his mother, Eileen Schreiber, father, Alvin LaShomb, brother, John LaShomb, and his sister, Kathleen Horvat. James is survived by his loving partner, Diane Baker, his daughter, Caitlin (John) Wood, his son, James LaShomb Jr., his granddaughter, Autumn Wood, grandsons, Alex and Tyler Wood, his sister, Maureen Gebbia, and his brothers, Kevin and Guy LaShomb. He was a loving and supporting family man with a huge heart and an impeccable sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

Services entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where family and friends may visit on Wednesday, June 5th 2024, from 4pm to 7pm. A celebration of life where those in attendance will have the opportunity to share a memory of James will be held at the funeral home on Thursday June 6th, 2024, at 10am with burial following in Mt. Marion Cemetery, 618 Kings Highway, Saugerties, NY.
