Monica M. LaShomb

Monica M. LaShomb, 49, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Saratoga Springs, New York on September 26, 1975. She was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School and earned her master's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. Monica was a Special Education Teacher for Ballston Spa Central Schools, working in Milton Terrace and Wood Road Schools.
She loved vacations at the ocean collecting seashells and enjoying the beach. Disney World was one of her favorite places to visit. She liked to paint and listen to music. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Monica is survived by her husband Chad LaShomb, daughters Marissa Toohill and her husband Bradley, Lauren Marcotte and her husband Dylan, son Drew LaShomb, grandchildren Alexander Toohill and Paesley Marcotte, her father Darryl Purinton, sisters Lynn Hogan and Angelique Harris, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Marie Harris and her grandmother Barbara Purinton.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 3 from 4pm to 6pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Monica may be made to the Scotties BackPack Program, BSCSD, 70 Malta Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Checks may be made payable to CFGCR.
