James Christopher (Chris) Lemmonds , 32, of Canton, Ga, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 8th, 2025. His sudden passing has left a deep void and profound sadness in the hearts of all who knew him and a bright light is missing in the world.

Chris was born on June 21st, 1993 in Athens, Ga to his mother Lisa Whitley Davis and ultimately adopted by his father, Wayne Lawson. He was a passionate fabricator and an aspiring welder. Chris was a devoted father, beloved son, passionate brother, loving grandson and a dedicated friend who left an impression on everyone he met. He will be remembered for his enormous smile, captivating blue eyes, contagious laugh and his tireless pursuit of making those around him feel supported, loved and encouraged no matter what he was facing himself. Chris never wavered to lend a helping hand to those in need and was a loyal confidante and friend who will be missed beyond words.

James Christopher Lemmonds is survived by his Mother Lisa Davis (David), his father Wayne Lawson, his sister Ashley Freeberg (Ryan), his brother Noah Lawson (Nikki), his sister Tiffany Rowe (Chris), his children Conner, Caroline, Carter and Chance Lemmonds, his grandmother Brenda Angel and he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Clifford Steven Angel, his grandfather George Alvin Whitley and several aunts, uncles and great grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 1pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home located at 1670 Atlanta Hwy in Madison, Ga.
