James Erich Maiorana

Mr. James Erich Maiorana, age 77 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, Ga.

He was a native of Germany and retired as a mortgage loan officer. Most recently Jim had been employed with Home Depot in Hartwell. He loved to golf and volunteered at Victoria Bryant State Park. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Christ Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.

Left to cherish his memory are; his wife, Karyl Ann Petzel Maiorana, children, Jimmy, Jeff, Nicholas and Angela Maiorana, step-children, Wendy Tomlinson and Larry Geist, siblings, Andrew and Frank Maiorana, Karen Hellwig and Linda Maiorana. Grandchild, Zach Maiorana, step-grandchildren, Mark and Brett Tomlinson and a great-grandchild, Marley Tomlinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Seglinda Guze Maiorana and sister, JoAnn Hitchner.

A private memorial service will be held at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory with Pastor Michael Kimberly officiating.
