James Marsh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holland Funeral Service & Crematory - Monroe on Dec. 9, 2025.
James Patrick Marsh, 25, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born in Monroe, North Carolina on October 22, 2000, to his parents, Christopher Marsh and Amanda Starnes. James will be remembered for the kindness he showed to others. He was known for giving the best hugs and always ending a conversation with "I love you." He was full of life and had an infectious sense of humor. James could often be found practicing with his ukulele and playing his video games. During the summer, he would cherish every walk down the road that he was able to take with his mother. James also learned how to fix cars by working alongside his father. While on a trip with his brother, James had the opportunity to drive a GT3 Porsche. James and his family also enjoyed meeting up at the range to shoot their rifles and handguns. James will be missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 4:30pm until 5:15pm.
James is preceded in passing by his grandmother, Pat Starnes; and cousin, Jason Moree.
He is survived by his parents, Christopher Marsh and Amanda Starnes; brothers, Seth Marsh, and Austin Marsh (Savannah); nephew, Xaylen Marsh; grandparents, Melvin and Ruby Starnes; aunt, Wendy Cooper (Benji), and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
