James D. McGee, Jr., 73, of Long Branch passed away at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and had resided in Long Branch for many years.
Jim was a graduate of Brookdale Community College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stockton State College.
He was an accountant at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown before his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents, James D. and Betty J. Hooker McGee and a brother, Stephan Michael McGee.
Surviving are his devoted companion of many years, Ulysses Clax; a sister, Anita Katz and husband Stuart; two brothers, Jerry Alan McGee and wife Linda, and Douglas McGee and wife Joanne; his nieces and nephews, Dana Struyf, Heather Xavier and husband Dan, Cody McGee and wife Erin, Jeremy Seith and wife Amanda, Dayton Emmons, and Laverne, Arlene, and Ivy; his grand nieces and nephews, Casey, Emily and Zoey Xavier, Guilianna Frulio, and Violet and Peyton Seith; and a close family friend, Denzel Donaldson.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
Memorial donations to the S.P.C.A would be appreciated.
