Mr. James W. McLean, Sr., age 79, of Norwalk, Connecticut, and formerly of Broadway, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut.

The Obituary

James W. McLean, Sr., affectionately known as "Big Mac", passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was born February 5, 1946, in Broadway, North Carolina to Annie Mildred McLean and the late Berman McIver.

He retired from Pitney Bowes after many years of service.

He was predeceased by his father, Berman McIver and one brother, Gerald McLean.

His love and devotion will be cherished by his devoted wife, Debra Douglas McLean of Norwalk, CT; mother, Annie Mildred McLean; daughter, Michele McLean; son, James W. McLean, Jr. (Tara); four grandchildren, Rontisha Dancy, Jasmine McLean, Crystal McLean and Jailyn McLean; one great granddaughter; Tasahni Jacobs; five sisters, Carolyn Newton, Kathy Mann (Larry), Marie McLean, Jeanette McLean, and Phyllis McLean, four brothers; Robert McLean (Brenda), Clifton McLean, Elbert McLean (Rita) and Norman McLean and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
