James Clinton Minor 95, of Lorain passed away May 24, 2024. James was Veteran of the US Army and a Lake Terminal Railroad Retiree. He was extremely devoted to his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and wife, Phyllis (nee Kalo) of 72.5 years who preceded him in death, as well as his parents, Harry and Hazel Minor of Pennsylvania.
James and Phyllis loved the RV life as they traveled throughout 48 states. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Lorain who, alongside Phyllis, devoted many free hours of labor, time and expenses. He was known as her right-hand, delivering cookies, cakes, meals and floral arrangements, not to mention always being volunteered out to freely share his gifts of skilled carpentry, mechanics and craftsmanship of all trades for church, family, friend and the community. James also loved gardening, was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and a self-taught guitarist whose original lyrics were a delight to both family and friends. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
James is survived by his loving son James Minor, Jr (Marsha) daughters, Adrian Madden (Phil), Phyllis Rokasy (Jim) and Holly Estrada (Ken). A private family celebration of Life is planned.
Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is honored to have been able to assist the family.
