He took pride in growing vegetables in his many gardens and taking his harvest to the soup kitchen. Jim loved to travel with Mary, and they would go wherever the car would take them, sometimes that would lead to the casino. He loved being with his friends and family. His famous goodbye was "See you in the Spring". He was a faithful member of the Capac United Methodist Church and loved his church family.
In Jims last year of life, he loved playing cards and listening to music with his caregivers. He was always reminiscing to his family and friends about all his life stories and blessings.
