James B. Moyer, 73, of Lewistown, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his home. Born on March 26, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Donald Moyer and Connie (Hood) Moyer, who survives. James was a devoted husband to Pamela "Beth" (Wilson) Moyer, with whom he shared 33 cherished years of marriage since their wedding on August 10, 1991. He was a loving father to Cristy Moyer of Mt. Union, Jimmy Moyer and his wife Cherie of Lewistown, Michael Cherry and his wife Gina of McClure, and Heather Moyer and her companion Aaron Rice also of Mt. Union. His greatest joy was found in his grandchildren: Tyana, Andrew, Aaron, Jeneva, Ally, Rylie, Colton, Ava, Maddex, Harley, Brooklynn, and Kenley. James is also survived by his siblings, John Moyer and his wife Ruthann of Clearfield, Donald Moyer and his wife Linda of McClure, and Tammy Rothrock and her husband Stanley of Yeagertown. A proud veteran, James honorably served in the United States Air Force. Throughout his career, he dedicated many years as an auto body mechanic before spending 15 years at Unimark Plastics. He was a lifelong member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Yeagertown, attended St Marks Evangelical Lutheran in Alfarata, and was a dedicated member of the Yeagertown Lion's Club until its disbandment. James found great joy in life's simple pleasures-spending time fishing, wheeling and dealing cars, and cheering on his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions. As a dedicated season ticket holder, he never missed an opportunity to support the basketball team. His passion for racing was evident in the countless conversations he shared with his son, ensuring the racecar was always ready for competition. Above all, James treasured time spent with his grandchildren, always present in their lives and embracing every moment with love and enthusiasm. A funeral service to honor James' life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Bill Esborn officiating. A viewing will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Yeagertown Lutheran Cemetery. In memory of James, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 875 Greentree Rd, Seven Parkway Center, Suite 700, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
