James Kevin Musgrove of Altha, known affectionately as Kevin, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born on December 3, 1963, in Pensacola, Florida. Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories among his family and friends.
After graduating from high school, Kevin embarked on a career that began in the dredge boat industry, but he soon discovered his true passion in the electrical field as a Journeyman Lineman. His dedication to his craft was notable, as he committed many years to this challenging yet rewarding profession until he was physically unable to continue.
Kevin's personality was characterized by his easy-going nature, which endeared him to many. He found joy in the great outdoors, frequently indulging in hobbies such as hunting and fishing. Whether it was reeling in a big catch or simply enjoying the warmth of a fire, these moments were a reflection of his love for life and the beauty around him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jackie Musgrove, and his son, J.K. Musgrove and his wife Jlarin of Altha. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Melissa Murphy, and her husband, Hudson of Pensacola. His grandchildren, Ada Musgrove and Parker Brady, will carry forward his legacy, along with many other extended family members and friends who held him dear.
Kevin's life was also marked by the profound loss of his parents, Jimmy and Rita Musgrove, and his son, Nolan Musgrove, who preceded him in death.
Visitation for Kevin will be held at the Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown on November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel starting at 12:00 PM with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Chipola Cemetery in Altha.
As we remember Kevin, let us hold close the moments shared, the laughter exchanged, and the love that he so openly gave, which will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. A special thank you goes out to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of The Women's & Infants Center of Oncology and The Center For Psychiatric Medicine at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
