James J. Needham

It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear brother, Jim Needham, of Brooklyn, Ohio, who passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, after a tough battle with cancer. He fought bravely for five years, always looking for the positive, even until the end.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen (nee Kelly) and James P. Needham, as well as his sisters, Kathleen (Bob) Jablonowski and Eileen (Bill) Davis. He is survived by his sisters, Pat (Jim) Rosenbaum and Mary (Jim, deceased) Flack, along with his ten loving nieces, nephews, and 30 great-nieces and great-nephews. Jim shared his life with many dear cousins and friends who have all been a special blessing to him in his life and through his long battle with cancer.
Jim spent ten years working at General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. He loved his time spent in Detroit but remained a passionate fan of all Cleveland sports, cheering for the Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers. His love for sports extended beyond professional sports, as he loved to attend his nieces' and nephews' sporting events whenever he could. Even when he was not feeling well, he never let that stop him from supporting them. Jim, while independent, loved being around people and having fun. His sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
For many years, Jim worked very hard as an independent cab driver in Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoyed his encounters with people and loved telling stories to family and friends. This is where he earned the nickname "Cabby," which some still called him to this day.
